Wednesday service
Just returned from a wonderful church service. Tonight the pastor was preaching on King David and King Saul. Seems as though King David is one of the pastor's favorite kings because since I have been going to the church we have revisited his story many times. I enjoy the story of King David and all the mighty ways that God used him but also all the ways that David proved he was made of flesh and made mistakes just like the rest of us. How merciful God is to his people. I sit and think sometimes about how people must feel that do not have God to look to in the time of their trouble. It is like watching a boat sinking without anything to grasp onto. Oh how sweet it is to know that with God, all we have to do is call on his name and he gives us strength to endure any situation.
Sometimes we may question why, why God do you allow certain things to happen to good people? All we can do is trust that God has a much mightier plan than we do. His ways are not our ways. One thing that is for sure is that he never lets us go.
A thought that I had tonight that I would love for people to know is to never take for granted the reaching out to others..if that means just letting them know you are there for them or opening a door for someone, or just merely saying hi, how are you? It could mean the world to someone at a time they feel like they have noone else, just that mere extension of your hand is all it takes for people to see God's love.
