Merry Christmas

I was so busy with trying to post pictures of family that I totally forgot to post anything about Christmas, the birth of our saviour. We had such a great Christmas holiday. The tradition is to go over to my mother's house for the day for dinner and that is exactly what we did. We had a great time! Jesus is the reason for the season!

Favor ain't Fair

This is something I heard one of my favorite televangelist say.."Favor ain't Fair". One of the things that I was able to purchase lately because of an amazing sale is these boots. I went to several stores trying to look for boots that I could wear to the Christmas parade and the tree farm since it gets sort of chilly and I needed something warm to keep my feet nice and toasty. I went to several different stores and saw these boots for $35.00 and I told my husband before I left the house I only wanted to pay between $20.00 and $30.00. They were on sale for $20.00! This to me was an example of favor! And I love them!

Latest happenings from the Smith House...

Home from the gym..my husband prepared a workout plan for me and let me tell you that that was an intense workout, the fact that I was able to actually walk out of the gym and not crawl was in itself a miracle to behold! My shins are still killing me...

Aside from the misery of the gym (haha), life has been good at the house on Birch, also known as the Smith House. My husband put up some christmas decorations this past weekend and it looks good, I had to post a few pics

Thanksgiving 2011

Trying to get back in the groove of updating my blog. So far I added some pictures from this past Thanksgiving. We had such a great time with family. This could potentially be the last year in our home so we are trying to savor every last minute of every occasion that we can.

Now on to the next holiday, Christmas! We already have our outside decorations up so now we just need to work on the inside..should be fun! Hopefully we will see Santa's tree farm in our near future to pick out a live tree.

Life is Good

Well, my goodness you blink your eyes and here it is couple of months later. I am about to head out so will not post a lot right now....
I really need to figure out how to post pictures, that would be really fun to add some pictures to this page.
Life continues to amaze me and make me question at the same time....God's ways are not always our ways is what I feel like he has been tellimg me today so I have to trust that.

Happy New Year! Can't believe we are in 2011 already! And here we are almost to the middle of February! The things I love the most about February is my daughter's birthday, Valentine's Day and anniversary. Tom and I will be married for 16 years this year! I still remember the first time we met. We have accomplished so much during our marriage and I love him so much. He is such a great father and husband.

My daughter's birthday is coming up, she is going to be 10 years old! This year she wants to have a sleepover and then go see a movie the next day. This will be my first time having more than just one friend of theirs staying the night so it should be interesting. It's going to be fun though...I plan to buy lots of snacks, popcorn, set up the living room so they can sleep in there. I already ordered her cake, she chose Icarly...so cute!

Today is Friday, I love Fridays! These are the days that my mom and I go yardsaling. I appreciate her so much because not only is she my mom but she is my mentor as well as far as spiritually, parenting any questions that I have she is right there to share her insight and feedback. We may not always see eye to eye but I do love and cherish her so much!

Life is good....I am still looking for a job. I can not believe how long it is taking me to get a job..I have applied at several places and noone has called back. I know in God's timing that it will all come together and I just need to trust his plan for my life.

Well, my mom is on her way over so I am heading out and hope to post some pictures, etc of the kids sports, family pictures, etc... soon!
